2003 Japanese Pokemon Bandai Zukan Heart Gold/Soul Silver Carddass Set Information

The second instalment of the collection of Zukan sets! This set consists of 108 different cards, this includes two picture puzzle sets/adventure cards, 6 Holos, 10 stunning lenticular cards and 80 regular cards.

This set was released completly from Japanese vending machines and was packaged in white boxes as seen below. The cards were then grouped together and wraped in small paper bands to keep them together. All boxes were packaged the same and had the same cards in. As you can see on this box it states 2003 and 108 cards.

The regular cards are much like the cards from the previous set. We're seeing alot more Johto throughout the set as it is Gold/Silver. Again all character cards fetature the character on the front and back, the set number in the bottom left and stats and information on the back of the card.

This is one of the most easily reconisable sets due to the cards set number sitting in a little circle that states 'GS'

There are only 6 Holo cards in this set and no rares. The holo finish is the similar to the previous set covering the background and character on the card but not the text along the bottom.

The lenticulars were first introduced here, as bandai released more sets they started to add more unique cards and finishes to the sets.

Below we have photographed every card in the set. Some of the more notable cards are as follow;
Holos - Celebi, Entei, Ho-Oh, Suicune, Raikou, Lugia
Lenticulars - Minun/Plusle, Pichu Bros, Azurill/Maril/Azumaril, Skitty/Delcatty, Treeko/Groovyle/Sceptile, Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken, Mudkip/Marshstomp/Swampert, Trapinch/Vibrava/Flygon, Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir, Latios/Latias.

As with the previous set, the adventure cards feature on the reverse of the movie picture puzzle sets and follow through from the previous set starting with #19.

The key in the top right of the setlist here only shows the holos, the lentulars and adventure cards have there own little sections at the top of the front of the setlist.

I hope this helps with set organising!
