2003 Japanese Pokemon Bandai Zukan Carddass Vending Set (Base)

The first of a collection of Zukan sets! This set consists of 223 different cards, this includes the picture puzzle sets and binder collection exclusive Jirachis. 
The set featured regular cards, rares, holos and special holos. 

The regular cards of which there are most are pretty standard and feature no holo/foil background, patterns or text. The cards from this set are easily spotted due to the large set number at the bottom next to the characters name. 

The rares have foil only over the name of the character in Japanese at the bottom of the card and the set number.

The holos have a foil finish that completly covers the background but not the character or text.

The special holos of which there are only two, Kyogre and Groudon have both the holo background and foil writing along the bottom.

This Jirachi was unique to those who bought the accompaning binder at retail when the set released.

Similar to the Jirachi above this card was also found in a binder. Although this 'NOT FOR SALE' Promo was part of a lottery you had to enter. We believe there was only 1000 copies handed out as prizes. Below is an image of the back of the setlist promoting this card & binder.

The backs of the cards are all pretty much the same featuring the character on the front and some stats & Pokemon info.

The picture puzzle sets featured the adventure cards on the reverse.

As you can see by the key in the top right corner of the set list the circle indicates a rare, the square indicates a holo and the star indicates a special holo.
